Your homepage should start like this

Steal the look from this $5m brand...

Shopify gives you unlimited control when designing your store.

That doesn’t mean anything will work.

In this email, I’m sharing with you exact examples of how you can immediately improve your store using the $5m+/year brand “Jambys” as a reference.

The image banner (also called Hero image) sets the mood for the store.

It has to quickly (without much reading) answer whether the visitors have come to the right place.

A great section has the following components:

  • Clear image of the products you are selling (usually the best seller)

  • Short headline answering “Why is this brand different from all the others?”

  • Subheadline describing exactly what it is that you are selling.

  • Social proof to show they can trust us.

💡 Pro Tip
The first section needs to immediately answer the question “What the heck am I looking at?”.
You achieve this by using an image that features your product and product-focused text.

The rule is to be “Clear, not clever”.

Lastly, reduce your menu to the bare essentials.

It doesn’t promote a sale, don’t feature it in your header navigation.

This will avoid what’s called conversion-bleed (people clicking around instead of buying).
