- Not getting enough sales? Do this
Not getting enough sales? Do this
This is all you need to sell successfully

If you’re just getting started and selling less than 300 orders every month, this is all you need to understand.
After auditing hundreds of stores, this is the exact advice that has taken the store from no sales to $10,000+/month.
The core problem…
Shopify has many buttons we can press.
Most buttons don’t mean anything until we’re getting to a certain size.
This is a quick guide on what actually matters to get your first sales. Predicably.
There are only 3 pillars we need to work:
1. Product
2. Product presentation (store design & product images)
3. Traffic (quality & quantity)
If you are “good enough” in all of these 3, you will make sales.
See how I didn’t say “great”.
To get our first sales, we just need to make sure all three pillars are in place.
Let’s get into it:
Have a product people want - This sounds obvious but many people try to sell anything.
Have a store that highlights the product - focus on the problem the product is solving, not selling your product. Present your product as the solution.
Don’t: “Best skincare for your skin”
Do: “Fix your Dark spots in 30 days”
Have a way to direct people to your site - This can be organic (SEO, social media) or paid (Google or Meta ads)
SEO is a long-term strategy. You don’t need SEO to be successful. All you need is master paid advertising (mainly Meta)
Build your entire store for one dream customer.
Our store needs to target to their personal needs.
E-commerce allows us to find all of those dream customers online.
I like to call it the “Hey Henry” principle.
Imagine you’re trying to get someone’s attention in a crowded place.
You can simply shout “Hey”.
But nobody will turn around.
If you instead were to shout “Hey Henry”…
All Henrys will turn around.
Our stores need to be the same.
You can’t sell everything to everyone.
But you can sell One thing to one person.
Then use modern platforms to simply find millions of these people.
To recap:
1. Have a product people want
2. Design your store around solving one issue only (e.g. The most comfortable beach look)
3. Use social media and paid channels to find people with this one issue.
This is the exact formula that resulted in an 11x ROAS (return on ad spend) for our mentorship member.

In the following emails, I’m going to share more advice on all of these 3 pillars.
