Recipe to Shopify success

Have you ever tried baking a cake without a recipe?

While you might have guessed (some of) the ingredients correctly, it's the quantity and correct order that determines the result.

While a seasoned baker can draw from experience and more likely than not can get the cake "right".

We mere mortals would have a hard time.

HOWEVER...

Give me a recipe and I can produce a fantastic cake repeatedly. Even as a beginner.

Why am I saying all of this?

Shopify can be really frustrating when you are trying to do your best to get everything set up without seeing any meaningful results. If you're like me (when we started) you might even think "E-commerce just isn't for you".

But you might have heard stories of teenagers building successful Shopify businesses...

Is it that they're smarter than us?

Here's the good news.

They are not!

Some of you who run brick-and-mortar stores...

I can guarantee it is wildly more complicated to build and run that.

The only reason why your Shopify store isn't great yet, is because no one has ever shared the recipe with you.

That's it.

To change all of that, here's the recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. We need products customers want.

  2. We need to design and build a store that enhances the wants of our customers (raise perceived value)

  3. We need integrations that enable us to stay in contact with our customers

  4. We need to let people know about our store

It's not more complicated than that.

Miss a single step and everything falls apart.

Example:

  • ❌ You mastered steps 2-4 but people don’t like your product = no sales

  • ❌ You have the perfect product (1) but people don’t trust your website with their credit card information = no sales

  • ❌ You improved your website and want to let people know they can trust you now but have no way of contacting them = no sales

  • ❌ You have everything set up perfectly but no one knows your store exists = no sales

Put them together and you are done.

  1. ✅ You have a product people like

  2. ✅ Your store looks so professional people assume our products are worth even more than what we ask for

  3. ✅ They happily provide their email address in exchange for a discount and we automatically send them emails reminding them to complete their purchase

  4. ✅ We set up targeted ads (paid) or organic to let people know about our store and products.

= BIG SALES 💰

How do we know?

We struggled for 4 years to build a good Shopify store, then built one from 0 to $150k/month in 3 months, and then (with our agency) built over 500 more profitable Shopify stores before we got invited to help UPS, the New York Fashion Week, Wimbledon, Steppenwolf, and other incredible brands.

If you found this helpful, reply with a “Yes”.

Happy selling,

Flo
