This is when Shopify becomes fun

You’re probably only this email away from going from “Shopify will never work” to “OMG… this is so simple!”

You’re at Shark Tank (the TV show).

The sharks ask you how much money you are raising.

You tell them a number.

Let’s say $10k.

They then ask you “What are you going to do with it”.

You blank…

Let’s try this again.

The sharks ask “What are you going to do with it”.

And you tell them that
“Acquiring a new customer costs you $25 and you spend $50 on average with your brand over the next 3 months.
Their investment of $10k would create 400 more customers and $20k over the next 90 days”.

That’s how you pitch a business.

The reason why Shopify feels harder for you than it needs to is because you don’t know where you will get customers from predictably.

Without predictability, you constantly have to worry and hope that people will order again next month…

We leave that problem to the people that don’t read this newsletter.

All you want to solve is WHERE can I find a customer and for HOW MUCH.

One customer predictably is much better than 100 random customers.

You can’t scale randomness.

Control your distribution (ads) and you’re 90% there.
