The ultimate Shopify image size guide
Use these formats, sizes, and aspect rations...

After this email, you will know exactly what image sizes to use for each section.
Images can make or break your store. There are three main issues when it comes to images:
Size: Too large, and it will hurt your page speed; too small, and it will look unprofessional.
Aspect ratio: Using the wrong aspect ratio will result in awkwardly cropped images.
Format: PNG, WEBP, JPEG, etc.
If you Google this, it might sound like you need to have mastered quantum physics to understand images.
Don’t worry, you don’t.
There’s only one correct answer.
Format
Best practice: Use WEBP (a new form of JPG).
You can convert your images using this tool.
When to use PNGs: If your images have transparency (e.g., logos with their background removed).
Common mistake: People use PNGs for product images because they remove the background.
PNGs are larger than WEBP images and slow down your store load time.

Pro tip: Change the background of your product images to match your page’s background color and export them as WEBP.
